Ray Pullen: Technical & Quality Manager
Ray joined Envirocare in 2002 as Technical & Quality Manager after 23 years of working in the chemical industry, including responsibility for production, quality control, product development, customer technical service and quality assurance. Ray led the project team that achieved ISO 17025 and MCERTS accreditation in 2003.
Ray represents Envirocare at the Source Testing Association where he operated as Technical Officer for 4 years and also Chairman for the period of 2012-2014. Since 2009, Ray has been a member of BSI EH 2/1 committee and has acted as a UK expert in the European working group developing VOC standards.
Ray is an avid supporter of Huddersfield Town football club and he has been attending matches for 50 years. His first match was before England won the world cup!
Adam May: Environmental Services Sales Manager
Adam joined Envirocare in 2005 as a Stack Emissions and Environmental Technician having previously worked in the water industry.
Adam’s particular areas of interest and expertise lie in environmental consultancy. Adam has been involved with numerous clients in helping with process and abatement development. Adam is also heavily involved with assisting customers in solvent reduction solutions and EPR Permit compliance.
Adam holds a professional membership for ISMM, the Institute of Environmental Science and the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM).
Adam has recently become a father and enjoys playing football on a weekend, although his age is making this hobby increasingly difficult.
Tel Banham: Sales & Business Development Manager
Tel is a digital marketer specialising in search, email and content marketing. With vast experience within the gaming and entertainment industry, his focus is achieving business objectives cost effectively by using a wide range of digital tools and tactics.
Tel has over 9 years worth of experience in developing and managing SEO and inbound campaigns, from strategic and tactical development through to execution and ongoing optimisation.
In 2010, Tel created ‘Budge Gaming’. An online platform that provided 3 million monthly web visitors and a social following of 350k with the latest social gaming news. Before moving into this industry.
Tel’s first major task when arriving at Envirocare was the design, creation and implementation of the 20th anniversary company re-brand that is used today.
In his spare time, Tel enjoys wrestling, gaming, movies, prestige television and is a huge lover of minimalist contemporary architecture and design.
Dan Meadows Bsc, AFOH: Senior Occupational Hygiene Consultant
Dan has over 5 years experience in the field of Occupational Hygiene, specialising in dust and fibres following his degree in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool.
In a previous role he worked for a high temperature ceramics company. Alongside his normal duties, he was part of the European Ceramic Fibre Industry Association (ECFIA) CARE Working Group who worked to improve the health of its workers. He is an Associate member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS). He has achieved all 6 BOHS modules in occupational hygiene and is working towards his Certificate of Competence on Occupational Hygiene.
Dan has an extensive range of experience from undertaking a wide range of airborne and noise monitoring surveys in many types of workplaces and industries. This includes indoor air quality, COSHH risk assessments, and LEV testing.
Dan volunteers his spare time to being part of the St John ambulance crew.
Pam Knott Bsc, AFOH: Occupational Hygiene Consultant
Pam is currently training as an occupational hygienist with Envirocare following a varied career including experience in analytical services, providing technical sales support to the environmental, nuclear and occupational hygiene sectors; landfill monitoring and auditing; and working as a project manager in the construction industry.
She is an Associate member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) and holds the BOHS module in Control of Hazardous Substances. Pam holds a degree in Biology, Prince2 qualification in Project Management, has attended several BOHS conferences and has already won the ‘best handwriting’ award from the Occupational Hygiene & Safety team at Envirocare.
Pam undertakes occupational noise assessments, air monitoring for COSHH assessment, LEV testing, indoor air quality assessments and legionella risk assessments.
Outside of work Pam enjoys trail running and inflicting pain on people as a sports massage therapist.
Martin Ropka: Environmental Services Operations Manager & Principal Consultant
Martin joined Envirocare in July 2006 having graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Geography (BSc). He initially joined as a Junior Environmental Consultant but the experience he has gained over 10 years has seen him become not only an MCERTs Level 2 qualified Principal Environmental Consultant with all four Technical Endorsements but also the Operations Manager of the Environmental Services team.
Martin also manages a large bioaerosol monitoring project for Envirocare, which has seen him become one of the most experienced testers of bioaerosols from chimney stacks in the UK.
Martin loves football and is an avid supporter of Bradford City FC.
Andrew Davis: Principal Environmental Consultant
Andrew studied at Bradford University and gained an honours degree in Environmental Management.
Andrew has 13 years of experience after joining Envirocare in 2003. Andrew is qualified to MCERTS Level 2 with all four technical endorsements. He has worked on sites all over the UK and foreign travel has included Guinea, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Andrew is also the company’s environmental champion and is involved with the safe recycling of all Envirocare waste.
In 2008 Andrew obtained a post graduate certificate in sustainable waste management from the university of Leeds.
He enjoys cycling and cycles to work through wind, rain or snow.
Dagmara Kepczynska: Junior Environmental Technician
Dagmara joined Envirocare in 2015. As a Junior Environmental Technician she has been working with numerous monitoring methods at various locations around the UK assisting the Team Leaders in many aspects of MCERTs work. Dagmara has recently achieved MCERTs Level 1 Qualification.
In 2013 Dagmara graduated from the University of Bradford with a BSc Environmental Science Degree. At the same time she developed a strong interest in pollution monitoring while being actively involved in the Bradford Beck project where she volunteered in range of water conservation initiatives including water sampling, invasive species control and invertebrate monitoring.
Outside of work her interests include cycling, walking, fishing, independent music and reading non-fiction books.
Daniel Taylor: Junior Environmental Technician
Daniel joined Envirocare in early 2016. Originally from Lincolnshire, Daniel graduated from the University of Leeds in 2013 with a first class Masters degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering.
He has since gained experience in energy management, environmental compliance and product testing whilst working in EHS and R&D departments during his two and a half years within the automotive manufacturing industry. He is now looking forward to enhancing his knowledge and furthering his personal development in stack emissions monitoring at Envirocare.
Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys working on his many ongoing projects including; 3D printing, model making and web design. He also likes to visit museums and industrial heritage sites, so much so that he often plans holidays around them – much to his girlfriend’s displeasure!
Janette Williams Bsc, MRSC: Laboratory Assistant
Janette joined Envirocare in 2013 having previously worked in the chemical industry for 15 years and in education for 8 years. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and also has an honours degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
She has wide experience of laboratory work including quality control, customer technical service and product development. Much use is made of her organisational skills in providing laboratory support for both the Environmental and Occupational Health department.
In her spare time Janette enjoys playing the clarinet for the Bradford Metropolitan Concert Band as well as being their treasurer.
