Envirocare is part of Cura Terrae, a key group of environmental consultancy and service provider. We are a leading UKAS and MCERTS accredited Stack Emission Testing and Occupational Hygiene Consultancy, we offer testing and advisory services throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

As we grow the group’s stack testing teams around the UK and with a recent acquisition of Atesta, we have exciting plans to extend our network further and grow the company substantially over the coming years.

To support our aspirations, we have an opportunity for an MCERTS Level 2 Stacks Emissions Team Leader to join the team, make a real difference and add value in delivering to our clients and colleagues.

About this opportunity

The Stack Emissions Team Leader (MCERTS Level 2) will have full responsibility for undertaking and managing all aspects of an emissions testing campaign including the supervision and well-being of themselves and others. As a representative of Envirocare the Team Leader will visit industrial sites in the UK and abroad to perform testing in accordance with international standards and the Envirocare Quality Management System. All team leaders will have achieved MCERTs Personnel Competency Certificate Level 2.

The team leader will be expected to act as an ambassador for the business on customer sites and would be expected to present in a professional and courteous manner at all times to both colleagues and customers. The Team leader will be expected to champion and promote safe behaviour at all times. The Team Leader would be expected to adopt a positive can-do attitude and follow all reasonable instructions from the Directors and Operations Managers.

The Team Leader will be expected to:

  • Identify and report at least 1 proactive hazard ID per month
  • No RIDDOR or lost time incidents for relevant projects
  • Maintain all MCERTS qualifications
  • No non-conforming work recorded (incorrect results reported or non-adherence to the procedures)
  • Ensure job file checks are > 95% compliant
  • NPS – No detractors recorded for relevant projects
  • Ensure all equipment assigned is maintained, serviced calibrated and PAT tested in line with the QMS
  • Maintain a high level of attendance
  • Submit all expense claims in a timely manner / obtain VAT receipts for all expenses

Main Responsibilities

  • Adherence to all company H & S policy
  • Adherence to all client H & S policy
  • Adherence of the company QMS
  • Interaction and communication with clients
  • Undertake sampling in accordance with prescribed procedures
  • Travel to customers sites
  • Site Review Meetings
  • Site inductions
  • Planning and preparation of sampling equipment
  • Cleaning, preparation, repair and calibration of test equipment
  • Preparing and authorising SSP’s, site reviews, risk assessments & test reports
  • Preparation and shipment of samples to the laboratory
