The acquisition strengthens Envirocare’s Occupational Hygiene division.

Envirocare is pleased and excited to announce our acquisition of S.I. Environmental, which became part of the ever-growing Envirocare and Cura Terrae families on the 8th August 2022.

This is an exciting period of growth for Envirocare and the acquisition of S.I. Environmental further strengthens our expanding Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Monitoring teams around the UK.  S.I. is based in Nottingham and will work alongside our existing Envirocare teams in Bradford (West Yorkshire), Brackley (Northamptonshire), and East Kilbride (Scotland).

S.I. were established in 2000 and have specialist and experienced staff; some with over 30 years’ experience in occupational hygiene monitoring. Its range of services complements those of Envirocare and over the years they have worked with clients across a variety of sectors.

Managing Director of Envirocare, John Healey comments, “This is a significant and exciting development for Envirocare. We look forward to welcoming S.I. staff and growing our teams. Their market reputation was a particular draw for us, aligning well with our focus on quality of service and customer care. For existing Envirocare customers it means we have a larger pool of knowledge, experience and resources to draw upon to provide continually reliable and high-quality occupational hygiene services, with expanded UK coverage.”

Carl Renshaw, Managing Director of S.I. Environmental comments, “It was important to find the right home for S.I, where the business and its staff could continue to thrive, and that shared our commitment to providing high quality customer service. I believe we’ve found that in Envirocare and we’re excited to become part of the wider Cura Terrae family as we align firmly with their mission to ‘look after the Earth’.”

CEO of Cura Terrae, Professor Peter Skipworth comments, “The formation of Cura Terrae has given our market-leading businesses a unique opportunity to grow and expand, in terms of the services they offer, the expertise and resources at their fingertips, their geographical coverage, and the quality of their customer service.  I’m really pleased that our flagship occupational hygiene company, Envirocare, has acquired S.I. Environmental, and it’s another valuable addition to our family tree, complementing our shared mission to offer services and solutions to help take care of the Earth, and help our clients work towards a more sustainable future.”

Cura Terrae is backed by investment from Palatine Private Equity’s Impact Fund, whose long-term commitment to place purpose and responsibility at the heart of their investment strategy aligns perfectly with Cura Terrae’s shared mission to protect the environment. This acquisition was also backed by Shawbrook Bank. Cura Terrae and Envirocare were advised by Megan Atack and team at Freeths and S.I. Environmental were advised by Hopkins Solicitors.
