Yorkshire Environmental Monitoring Firms Join Forces as EMS Acquires Envirocare and Appoints John Healey as MD
Environmental Monitoring Solutions Ltd (EMS) is excited to announce the acquisition of Envirocare, a Bradford based emissions monitoring and occupational hygiene consultancy.
EMS and Envirocare will combine their services and solutions in supporting customers to confidently meet and exceed their environmental compliance requirements. This exciting move will expand EMS’ capabilities in Stack Testing and Occupational Hygiene monitoring and testing services.
Envirocare will continue to operate as a separate entity under the direction of new MD, John Healey. EMS will invest in operational and expansion initiatives in order to grow the business and extend its nationwide footprint.
As well as Envirocare’s reputation for high quality services, part of the reason for the acquisition is the heightened market interest in air quality in the urban environment and in the workplace. EMS already occupies this space with their continuous emissions and ambient air monitoring instruments and sees the acquisition of Envirocare as a natural extension in this area.
John Healey joins Envirocare after more than 15 years in the air and emissions monitoring sector. Most recently, John was Regional Business Manager in air and emissions for Exova Catalyst. John’s hands-on approach will help drive growth and the customer experience.
Prof Pete Skipworth, MD of Environmental Monitoring Solutions, is delighted with the outcome, “We’ve worked with Envirocare for some years and this move felt like a very good cultural and commercial fit. We’re confident that the tie-up between the two companies will bring benefits to both sets of clients.”
John Healey, newly appointed MD of Envirocare, is excited for the opportunity “I’m personally looking forward to working with a great set of people and increasing our presence in the market. It’s exciting times ahead for us.”
