About this opportunity

Envirocare is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager covering occupational Hygiene and Stack Emissions.

You will be proactive and ambitious with a proven track record of converting opportunities. The successful individual will be required to develop and deliver against a strategic vision aligned with the growth of both the business division and the Envirocare group of companies as a whole.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the strategic planning and delivery of revenue against business objectives and business plan targets. The Business Development Manager will be ambitious and enthusiastic in successfully developing a revenue stream, proactively generating sales opportunities, appointments and handling enquiries using effective and proven sales techniques. You will possess demonstrable up-to-date and in-depth market understanding and technical acumen of occupational hygiene / stack emissions and the applications in which they are best suited. The ability to quickly familiarise yourself with a wide range of new products, instrumentation and applications is essential. You will be well organised and able to effectively track and report activities and manage contact information for sales prospects and existing clients.

  • Strategic business planning
  • Delivery of sales and gross margin targets
  • Effective use of customer relationship management systems
  • Identifying decision makers
  • Effective consultative sales techniques to proactively generate sales leads and appointments
  • Interpreting customer requirements
  • Articulating product and solution features and benefits to technical stakeholders and budget holders
  • High quality management reporting
  • Cross-company liaison; sales, finance, technical, operations
  • A Full driving licence is essential as the role will involve mainly local but also UK wide travel
  • Self-starter with proven track record of market development and sales
  • Up-to-date and in-depth market understanding and technical acumen of continuous emissions
  • Monitoring systems and the applications in which they are best suited
  • Understanding of key relevant legislative drivers
  • Educated to degree level; post graduate qualification and demonstrable CPD is desirable
