New version of Technical Guidance Note M16

A new version of Environment Agency Technical Guidance Note M16: Monitoring of Volatile Organic Compounds & Methane in Stack Gas has been published.

The main amendment to the document is the de-categorization of VOCs. The existing list of ‘Class A’, ‘Class B’ and ‘Highly Harmful’ will no longer be applicable. A new version of categorization is due shortly, but in the meantime existing HMIP Guidance should be followed.
